Origins Story

Absolutely. Here’s a more snarky version that still feels genuine and “real person behind the brand,” not fake edgy marketing voice.

If you’ve ever wondered why I started a billiards apparel company, the answer is simple: I got tired of trying to buy my husband gifts.

My husband plays on a pool team, and every Christmas I try to find him something he’ll actually use. After years of sports-related gifts, I finally hit my limit.

I am not buying another 49ers piece of memorabilia for as long as we are married.

So I turned to billiards.

And wow.

The billiards gift market was not exactly giving me options.

Everything I found was either outdated, cheesy, weirdly generic, or looked like it was designed in 2007 and never questioned again. I also don’t know enough about billiards equipment to confidently buy him cues, cases, chalk, or whatever else pool players apparently have strong opinions about. So I did what I usually do when the internet disappoints me.

I decided to make it myself.

I had already started making shirts for my family to support my girls’ sports teams. Softball, basketball, swim, you name it. We were always on a sideline somewhere, and I wanted cute team gear that didn’t cost a small fortune or require ordering during a three-day window from a team store with two design options and zero personality.

So I bought a heat press off Facebook Marketplace, learned how to build gang sheets, ordered blank shirts, and started pressing everything myself.

Was I qualified? No.

Was I determined? Unfortunately, yes.

I spent way too much time making sure designs were centered, names were on the right shirt sizes, and everything looked halfway decent. I also burned myself on a 400-degree heat press enough times to start questioning every life choice that led me there.

But the shirts worked. They were affordable, custom, and perfect for what we needed.

Then Christmas came around, and I made my husband a custom pool team shirt.

I figured he’d like it.

What I did not expect was his entire team wanting one too.

That’s when it clicked. Billiards players deserve better than the same stale designs that have been floating around forever. They need shirts that are fun, competitive, sarcastic, a little gritty, and actually wearable outside a pool hall without looking like they lost a bet.

Around the same time, the vendor I used for gang sheets launched a print-on-demand side of their business. Which meant I could finally stop spending my weekends hunched over a heat press trying not to brand myself like cattle.

Beautiful timing, honestly.

And that’s how Rack & Run Supply Co. started.

What began as sideline shirts for my kids, one Christmas gift for my husband, and my refusal to buy another football-themed dust collector turned into a billiards apparel brand for league players, bar-table warriors, tournament grinders, and anyone who loves the game enough to wear it.

We’re here for the players who run the table, talk a little trash, and still need a shirt that looks good doing it.

And we’re just getting started.
